Meet the stars of iconic sci-fi films and tv shows.
Who shot first: Greedo or Han? All your wonderfully nerdy questions will be welcome at For The Love of Sci-Fi, a convention created by fans, for fans. This weekend (Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2) stars of the big and small screen will converge on Bowlers Exhibition Centre to meet guests, answer questions and pose for pictures.
Fans will have the chance to meet Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) from Stranger Things and grab a picture on Will’s couch. Along with stars of iconic films including Henry Thomas (Elliot) from ET, Jesse Ventura and Bill Duke from Predator and Carl Weathers and Brigitte Nielsen from Rocky.
Guests will also have the opportunity to see iconic pieces of sci-fi movie history up close, including full-scale prop sets from Star Wars, ET and Stranger Things. And the Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra playing all your favourite sci-fi themes live conducted by an animatronic Yoda.
For The Love of Sci-Fi will take place at Bowlers Exhibition Centre, Longbridge Road, M17 1EH on December 1 and 2. Tickets are available from Fever and are priced from £8 per person. Photoshoots can be purchased on the day.
