It’s not the first time that Schofield’s Bar has proved to be the city’s underdog, and it turns out, it’s probably not the last time, either, since they’ve scooped up two more coveted awards at this week’s CLASS. Bar Awards. Hot off the back of being named one of the best cocktail bars in the UK, the old-worldly cocktail bar continues to prove you don’t need all the novelty bells and whistles to create something that people love.
Racking up three nominations and winning two of those, Schofield’s Bar was praised last night for its sophisticated offering, winning both best ‘New Bar of the Year’ and best ‘Bar of the Year’. Schofield’s beat a number of acclaimed bars from around the country, including some of London’s most luxurious bars, Sexy Fish, The Donovan Bar, Mr Fogg’s and more.
Schofield’s was just one of three Manchester bars to be nominated, including The Liars Group and Mecanica – the latter of which won ‘Emerging Bartender of the Year’ with young talent Elena Wright.
