The perfect treat if you can’t get enough of the tasty little suckers.
Celebrating the festive season with a brand new pop-up ‘restaurant’, Sainsbury’s has launched a “Pigs in Blankets Pitstop” – with a menu packed full of pigs in blankets-themed dishes. Suitable for both meat-eaters and vegans, the brand new menu has a little something for everyone, and they’ve gotten pretty creative with their seasonal offering.
Available for a limited time, Mancs will be able to get their hands on the menu exclusively via UberEats – with the pop-up restaurant going live today until Sunday 12th December. Dishes include pigs and mash in gravy, pigs in blankets flavoured noodles, pigs in blankets flavoured crisps and even their brand new pigs in blankets flavoured mayo.
Claire Hughes, Director of Product and Innovation for Sainsbury’s, said: “The nation’s love of Pigs in Blankets shows no swine (sign) of slowing down, with current predictions suggesting we will snap up over 20 million of them this year. We’re delighted to have partnered with Uber Eats to bring our new Pigs in Blankets inspired menu straight to people’s doorsteps to make it even easier to pig out this December.
“Despite what has been a challenging year, we’re still passionate about creating innovative flavours and products so we’ve gone the full hog for Pigs in Blankets themed food at Sainsbury’s this Christmas – from meaty to plant-based, noodles to mayo, even a sprinkle for your sprouts that will win over even the most reluctant sprout eaters!”
The ‘Pigs in Blankets Pitstop’ will be available in selected locations across Manchester, London and Birmingham only, and you can find out if you’re nearby one via the UberEats app.
