The budget airline has added flights to Castellon in Spain and Rimini in Italy, with both services now up and running for the Summer 2026 season. The new routes will operate twice weekly, making them a convenient option for short breaks or longer getaways.
Flights to Castellon took off on Monday, June 1, followed by the launch of the Rimini service on Wednesday, June 3.
Both destinations offer something a little different from the usual European hotspots, appealing to travellers looking to avoid the busiest tourist crowds this summer.
Castellon, Spain: Located on the Mediterranean coast just north of Valencia, Castellon is known for its laid-back beach resorts, scenic mountain backdrops and historic sites. Highlights include the striking 13th-century Peñíscola Castle, perched on a rocky headland, and the sandy stretches of Benicàssim, a favourite for relaxed seaside days.
Rimini, Italy: Sitting on Italy’s Adriatic coast, Rimini blends long sandy beaches with a lively nightlife scene and rich Roman history. Found in the Emilia-Romagna region, the city is a popular holiday destination among Italians themselves, offering a more local feel alongside its bustling seafront.

Ryanair confirmed that both routes will operate twice weekly throughout the summer, giving passengers flexibility when planning their trips.
Jade Kirwan, Ryanair’s Director of Communications, said the airline was “pleased to see the first flights” take off, with “dozens of happy customers onboard”.
She added that the new routes form part of Ryanair’s wider Summer 2026 schedule, offering travellers “even more choice at the lowest fares in Europe”.
The new additions further expand Manchester Airport’s growing list of European connections, particularly for travellers in the North looking for direct access to coastal destinations.
With both Castellon and Rimini offering sun, sea and culture but with fewer crowds than some of Europe’s busiest cities, the routes are likely to appeal to those seeking a slightly more under-the-radar summer escape.
