It appears Manc-loved pizzeria Rudy’s is on quite the mission at the moment, a mission that aims to make Rudy’s the most prolific pizzeria in all the land. Just one year after opening in Sale – and only one month after the rumour mill began to swirl that Rudy’s could be opening a third city centre restaurant – the team has announced that they’ll be coming to Chorlton this summer – joining other successes in the area such as Brewski, The Laundrette and the rivalling Double Zero.
Planned for June 2022, the new restaurant is set to take over the former Lloyds Bank on 577 Barlow Moor Road, as part of the central heart of the community. There, the team will create their highly praised Neapolitan pizzas, which are cooked for just 60 seconds in a hand-built stone pizza oven.
Rudy’s is famed for its authentic approach to Naples-style pizza, even being named the tenth best pizza in the world by Big 7. Since 2015, the pizzeria – which originated in Ancoats – has attracted queues around the block, resulting in nine pizzerias across Manchester, Leeds, London, Birmingham and Liverpool. Chorlton will mark the brand’s tenth restaurant.
Max, General Manager of Rudy’s Chorlton said: “We’re really excited to bring Rudy’s to the Chorlton neighbourhood. It won’t be long before we are able to fire up the oven and serve delicious Neapolitan pizza. As a team we can’t wait to become part of the community.”
In celebration of the opening, Rudy’s is giving away tons of free pizza that can be enjoyed in the new venue, and you can sign up for yours here.
