Refuge bar invites you to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in style, with a huge free party and free Jamesons cocktails for the first 50 people to purchase a ticket. Housed in Kimpton Clock Tower, Refuge will hold the celebrations in The Vault, the newly refurbished special venue specifically catered to events like this.
The party will include a live band and entertainment from their talented DJ and Irish dancers, as well as stalls serving up Irish stew and posh pies from Great North Pie Co. Of course it goes without saying, there will be Guinness flowing by the barrel and cocktails galore courtesy of Jamesons.
The Refuge is used to playing host to incredible bashes, celebrating Pride every year with their Come As You Are parties, and always celebrating New Year in style, so in Refuge we trust when it comes to a good old knees-up!
The building is incredible and the Refuge is a part of the Kimpton Clock Tower building that has retained a nod to its past as the Refuge Assurance Company Limited from 1881. The bar retains its decadent interiors from an Art Deco remodel in the 1930s, including train station-style tiles and carved finials, and The Vaults where the party will be held retains the original 1890s Copper Face Jacks pub bar and vault style with cave ceilings and archways. These vaults actually acted as reinforced air raid shelters during the Second World War, although the site was luckily never directly bombed.
The Refuge bar ordinarily has resident DJs who curate the experience Thursday through to Saturday with an eclectic mix of jazz, swing, funk, soul and house – so expect this vibe at the party, with a sprinkle of Irish charm!
You can let loose at the Refuge St. Patrick’s Day party from 7pm on Friday 17th March. Tickets can be found here.
