This Friday, the iconic Pulp will take to the Live from Wythenshawe Park stage for a mega gig right here in Manchester, and they’re set to treat the city to even more whilst they’re here. Pulp will be taking over the Rat & Pigeon pub in Manchester between the 28th and 30th August, to coincide with their sold out headline show in the city – and like the Common People we are, we can’t wait.
Open between 12pm -7pm on Friday 28; 12 to late on Saturday 29; and 12-2pm Sunday 30 August, a series of events, limited edition merch, music and competitions curated by the band will be taking place across the weekend.
Patrons of “Pulp Pop-Up Pub” can expect a jukebox programmed by Jarvis himself and Pulp-themed events, while the venue will be decked out in rare Pulp paraphernalia borrowed for the weekend from the band’s archive.
A special, limited edition Wythenshawe Park T-shirt will be sold exclusively at the Rat & Pigeon while stocks last, and there will also be a chance to win test pressings of Live!
There will also be a number of giveaways at the legendary Piccadilly Records across the weekend, so once you’re done living it up at the Rat & Pigeon you can drop in just across the road.
📍 You can find the Pulp Pop-Up Pub at the Rat & Pigeon at 33 Back Piccadilly, Manchester M1 1HP.
