As has become an annual tradition, the masses will descend upon south Manchester’s Wythenshawe Park this weekend and next, with some of the biggest musicians and bands in the world headlining Live from Wythenshawe Park. With the likes of Pulp, Courteeners and The Prodigy all flocking to this unassuming suburb, there’s plenty to look forward to, but also lots to keep in mind – whether you’re a gig-goer or not.
We’ve put together a guide with everything you need to know ahead of the Live from Wythenshawe Park gigs this August, from what you can bring in, timings and transport, to food, drink and what to expect within the grounds.

When do gates open & close?
Gates for Live from Wythenshawe Park gigs will vary depending on the support acts, but they usually open during the afternoon.
Gig timings:
- Pulp – 4:30pm-11pm
- Courteeners – 3pm-11pm
- The Prodigy – 3pm-11pm
The music curfew for each show is 22:30.
Will there be food & drink available inside Wythenshawe Park?
As usual, there will be plenty of food and drink available from trucks on site. Catering to a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements, there’s something for everyone to keep fuelled and watered – just remember, most if not all of the food and drink outlets will operate on a card-only basis.
How to get to Wythenshawe Park
Shuttle Bus
From Manchester city centre
A shuttle bus will be running directly to the park from Aytoun Street/Minshull Street, close to Piccadilly train station and the Kampus development. Buses will run every 6 minutes directly to Wythenshawe Park.
- 4pm until 7:30pm on 28th
- 2:30pm until 7:30pm on 29th and 30th
The journey will take around 35 minutes with drop off on Palatine Road opposite Parkway House, then it’s a five-minute walk to the concert entry gates.
From East Didsbury
A shuttle bus will be running directly to the park from Parrs Wood. Buses will depart from in front of tenpin bowling on the main road – Stop F. Buses will run every 15 minutes directly to Wythenshawe Park.
- 4pm until 7:30pm on 28th
- 2:30pm until 7:30pm on 29th and 30th
The journey will take around 15 minutes with fans alighting on Palatine Road near Northenden Health Centre. It’s then a five-minute walk to the concert entry gates.
Post-event
Shuttle buses will operate post-event for journeys back to Parrs Wood and the city centre. Buses will depart from outside Parkway House (exit via North Gate) on Palatine Road. Clear signage will be in place, directing you from the site exit to the stop.
Buses will begin departing from 10pm and will operate on a load and go basis. All buses will stop at Parrs Wood before continuing on to the city centre (Aytoun Street/Minshull street).
You can buy an event travel pass for £8, which you can use on any combination of Bee Network bus, tram or shuttle bus on the event days.
You will be able to purchase the event travel pass in advance on the Bee Network app. ‘Shuttle bus tickets only’ (one way) will be available at the pick-up point on the day at a cost of £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Tram
The closest tram stop to Live from Wythenshawe Park is Moor Road (What 3 Words///work.bulb.early), which is on the airport line. From the stop, walk down Bideford Drive towards the park, then just a 15-20 min walk through the park to West Gate.
The Metrolink service is likely to be busier than usual travelling to the park between 14:00 and 20:00 and travelling to Manchester between 22:00 and 00:00, during these times there is an enhanced tram service around Wythenshawe Park. Wythenshawe Road & Baguley tram stop will be closed from 21:00.
Before travelling on the tram you will need to purchase a ticket, either by buying one from the ticket machines on the tram stop, buying a combined travel ticket via The Bee Network app or by using your contactless card. Just touch in before you hop on the tram and then touch out at the end of your journey.
Pick-up & drop-off
If you’re being picked up or dropped off by a friend, Uber, or taxi, proceed to Tesco on Altrincham Road, Manchester M23 9TJ. Pick Up and Drop Off [PUDO], will be signed using yellow event signage – be mindful that the store will be open during this time and make sure to use the bins provided.
Car parking
JustPark is the official parking partner for Live from Wythenshawe Park 2026. Whether you’re driving straight to the park or prefer to park up and walk in, there are options to suit every night. For on-site parking, drive straight to Wythenshawe Park and park on-site, just minutes from the stage. Spaces are limited, so it’s worth booking ahead to avoid disappointment.
A more flexible option is Park & Stride, locations which let you park nearby and walk in at your own pace — no queuing to get into the car park, and no rush to get out.

Road closures
The following roads will be closed on all concert days from 21:30 – 01:00:
- Moor Road
- Rackhouse Road
- Wythenshawe Road
- Palatine Road westbound (Moor End to Princess Parkway)
- Southbound slip road from Palatine Road to Princess Parkway
- Right-hand lane of southbound Princess Parkway exit slip road
- Filter lane from Wythenshawe Road/Sale Road
What can you bring into Wythenshawe Park?
- No alcohol or liquids of any kind
- No aerosols, sprays or pressurised containers
- No drugs including ‘legal highs’
- No knives or weapons
- No perfumes or aftershaves
- No glass
- No umbrellas
- No food
- No dogs
- No flares or fireworks
- No balaclavas or masks
- No camp chairs, stools or picnic benches
- No bikes
- No re-entry
- No selfie-sticks
- No flag poles
- No rucksacks or large bags (that are not rucksacks).
- No bags larger than 21cm x 30cm x 8cm (A4 Size)
- No professional cameras
- Water bottles are allowed if they are plastic, see-through and under 500ml
- No high vis vests or tabards
- No alcohol or liquids of any kind
- Live from Wythenshawe Park has a zero tolerance on legal highs.
If you arrive with any of the above items you will usually be able to dispose of it/them at the gate. No items left at the gate will be able to be collected once the customer has left the gate area. Items surrendered at the gate can be disposed of immediately.
