In fact, a 2020 study found that watching David Attenborough documentaries can reduce stress. His most recent Netflix film, A Life On Our Planet, also had viewers changing their lifestyles in response to Attenborough’s urgent call to action on climate change.
So our favourite explorer might just go down as one of the most influential people in history. And we couldn’t be more excited for his new natural history series about dinosaurs.
Prehistoric Planet is a five-part series that showcases the life of prehistoric creatures, diving into little-known facts about them and their environments in Cretaceous time. From how the Tyrannosaurus rex navigated through parenting to all the ancient beings of the sea and sky, this is a show that’s sure to fascinate.
Moving on now to the talent behind the scenes of this project. We’ve got Oscar-winning film score composer Hans Zimmer bringing his powerful sounds, alongside filmmaker Jon Favreau from The Jungle Book and The Lion King as executive producer.
A new episode of Prehistoric Planet will screen on Apple TV+ over five nights from Monday, May 23 to Friday, May 27.
