Manchester is famed for its Asian cuisine, and potentially the most well-known outlet in town offers the most delicious ingredients, Korean ice cups and so much more. Meaning ‘welcome’ in Korean, Oseyo opened a new store in Manchester Arndale in 2024 following on from its success on Oxford Road in Manchester since 2019, and the Arndale store is the largest Asian supermarket in the North.

Bringing the ‘vibrant flavours of Korea and Asia‘ to the heart of the city centre, Oseyo occupies an epic 13,000 sq ft space within the former first floor H&M unit in Manchester Arndale, and it’s five times larger than the Oxford Road store. Full to the brim with noodles, dumplings, rice wine, soju, Oseyo also stocks speciality drinks, K-Pop gifts and beauty products. It really is a one-stop-shop for all your Asian cultural needs.
Popular brands available in store include the likes of Bibigo Mandu dumplings, Samyang Spicy noodles, Melona Ice Pops (honeydew/ coconut & mango ice creams), KSD Rice Wine, Hitejinro Soju, Lotte Milkis, and Jongga Kimchi.

More than a store for purchasing dried goods and Asian-inspired ingredients, customers can pick up products from chilled foods, frozen foods and bakery sections, including exotic vegetables, Korean-style BBQ cuts, Korean side dishes (Banchan), fresh Pandan Cake, viral mango pancakes, Red Bean Buns (Dahn Paht Jjinppang), and Baked Custard Bread (Cream Pan).
Korean ice cups are a key staple at Oseyo, where customers simply purchase a cup of ice from the freezer and add in the chosen flavoured drinks for a takeaway ice-cold drink. Oseyo is also home to a huge range of non-grocery items across Korean cosmetics and facemasks, Cuckoo electric rice cookers, and Korean ceramics, including rice bowls, dipping bowls and dishes.

The store stocks one of the UK’s largest selections of famed Korean toy and stationery supplier, ARTBOX, everything from character goods, such as Sanrio and BT21, to homeware and kitchenware like blankets, chopsticks and mugs, plus K-pop themed socks. In addition to stocking the best viral Korean brands in the heart of the city, the superstore houses ‘Oseyo Snaps’ a Korean photobooth with viral customisable, editable and printable takeaway pictures available across two themes – Gangnam Nightclub and Hongdae Café.
Oseyo continues the run of Asian supermarkets and street food outlets in Manchester, with others including Hello Oriental, Wing Yip and Mr Su, reflecting the real multicultural DNA of the city.

Oseyo also has other locations across the country such as Cambridge and several across London including Soho, Camden Town, Battersea Power Station, and now Manchester Arndale. Three new stores in London this year take the Asian supermarket brand to 20 stores across the UK, with the first having launched in 2015.
