Snow has been falling, and the days are getting shorter – sorry, Grinches, Christmas is coming to town. However, shaking things up this Christmas is an out-of-this-world celebration that’s landed in Manchester, combining festive sparkle and space-age all in one. Known as Nova Star, the new intergalactic festive experience has landed at Sadler’s Yard, home of New Century in the NOMA district.
Santa has gone intergalactic with a celestial space-age tipi which is home to a whole galaxy of festive food, shimmering cocktails and ice-cold beer on tap. Visitors can expect a cosmic Christmas and a totally unique experience at Sadler’s Yard in Manchester.
Far from your typical Bavarian Christmas tipi, New Century‘s Nova Star brings a festive space station to the city, decked out with twinkling stars and shimmering galaxies. Its arrival “captures the imagination of guests from Manchester and beyond”.
Nova Star will be serving up their very own signature ‘Nova Staro’ pints, created in collaboration with Czech Pilsner specialists Staropramen in their first ever rebrand. Pints of Nova Staro will be served up in custom branded steins to add to the festive feels, and there’ll be plenty to warm the cockles with mulled wine, cider and hot diablesse clementine rum.
And as a popular food hall, New Century is of course bringing plenty of food and drink offerings to Nova Star. With special festive treats such as ‘Raclette’ on roasties and Cosmos from the cosmos, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. A whole host of festive entertainment is also on offer providing a brand new Christmas experience for the city.
Choose from dreamy space-age cosmo cocktails including:
- Nova Cosmo – Kettle One Vodka Citron, cointreau, cranberry and lime
- Cosmic Amore – Disaronno, Savoia, cranberry and lime
- Nebula Cosmo – Spirited coconut, blue Curacao, pineapple and lime
- Cosmo-Naught – Seedlip Grove, cranberry, orange and lime
- Milkyway – Smirnoff Vanilla, Frangelico, Mozart Milk
Abby Moore, Managing Director at New Century, said about Nova Star: “Nova Star is all about celebrating Christmas at its most magical – and for us that means with all the dazzle of the space age. It’s a chance to escape the traditional and enjoy a spectacular atmosphere, stellar cocktails and incredible food. We can’t wait to welcome the people of Manchester to our space-age Christmas destination”.
New Century is located within the 20 acre NOMA neighbourhood between Victoria Station and Shudehill and is open from 12pm-11pm every day, with food served until 10pm. For more information and to book head here.
