Why should the city centre of Manchester have all the fun, eh? Well, new games and activity bar, Northern Social, located north of Manchester is the perfect spot for those with a competitive streak, up for a challenge or just damn right hungry- if not all three.
Led by the team behind Whitefield bar Northern Crafthouse, Northern Social is bringing all the fun and proving that the Greater Manchester area can have just as much (if not more) amusement as the activity bars located in the Northern Quarter and Great Northern Warehouse. Serving the likes of beer pong and New York-style pizza slices, guests can go up against their mates and reunite after the game over a bite to eat at this new spot.
Northern Social boasts an array of games to choose from including shuffleboard, arcade games and more as well as photo booth to capture your fun night out. The interior is slick with comfy booth seating, neon pink lighting, a bright blue bar and glowing beer pong tables.
But it’s not just the activities at this bar on Bury New Road that draw you in but it’s their quirky pizza options on the menu too. Taking some of our favourite dishes- spaghetti and meatballs, doner kebab, nachos and birria tacos, to name a few- the venue has created fusion pizzas with a thin New York-style crust for guests to gobble up.
The slices on offer here range from traditional to outlandish, with classic margherita and pepperoni slices to the hangover breakfast of dreams on a pizza with ingredients such as streaky bacon, Grandad’s sausage, egg, hollandaise sauce and potato smiley faces. They’ve even got a Katz Deli inspired slice with pastrami, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles on.
As for the drinks, Northern Social boasts three slushie machines serving boozy, icy drinks in flavours like Henny Cola, Strawberry Daiquiri and Zombie. As well as offering a wide selection of beers, wines and spirits the Whitefield bar also has the perfect summer cool down with a boozy Piña Colada soft serve.
