Manchester has recently seen an influx of Irish bars and pubs arrive and now another is set to open up in the city. Located in the centre of the Northern Quarter, and taking over the former Corner Boy site, Nancy Spains will continue to offer plenty of craic, Irish whiskey and pints of stout to the people of Manchester – but you won’t find Guinness at this Irish pub…
Set to open on Saturday 15th March ahead of St Patrick’s Day, Nancy Spains will be celebrating its Manchester opening by offering the first 5,000 pints of Murphy’s stout poured for just £2.50. The Manchester launch marks the pub’s expansion outside of London, where it has two venues, introducing a new spot for those looking for what Nancy Spains promises as “the ultimate traditional Irish pub experience”.
Pub-goers can expect live music performances, a wide selection of drinks including an array of Irish whiskeys and their infamous pints of Murphy’s stout and a lively late-night setting.
Rooted in Nancy Spain’s legacy, the team of three brothers behind the pub travelled all over their home county of rural Kerry, researching traditional Irish pubs to help craft their vision for Nancy Spains. The new Manchester bar aims to bring classic Irish hospitality, creating a space that combines the “comforts of a traditional pub with the vibrancy of the city”.
Peter O’Halloran, co-founder of Nancy Spains commented: “We’re so excited to be launching in Manchester, bringing Nancy Spains to the heart of the Northern Quarter. After the success of our two venues in London, it was only right to bring Nancy Spains’ infectious spirit and Irish pride to Manchester. Slainte!”
📍Nancy Spains opens on March 15 at 21 Hilton Street, Manchester, M1 1JJ.
🕛 The pub is open from Mondays-Thursdays 4pm to 12am and Fridays-Sundays 1pm to 2am.
