Mention a music festival here in Manchester, and the people will flock. Luckily for us, Moovin Festival is back for another year in Stockport with an incredible lineup of acts across the August Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 25 – Sunday 27).
The fun-filled festival is once again taking over Whitebottom Farm, just a 30 minute drive away from Manchester City Centre, for a glorious weekend of camping and music. With impressive previous headliners like Naughty By Nature and Basement Jaxx, there were big boots to fill, and Moovin Festival won’t disappoint in 2023.
The likes of Groove Armada and house music mainstay Todd Terry headline, alongside the likes of, Massive Attack’s Daddy G performing a DJ set, the legendary Craig Charles, plus hip hop royalty Big Daddy Kane, and Goldie performing a very special live set AND a DJ set. So many huge dance and house names will grace Stockport too, including Hacienda legends DJ Paulette and Graeme Park, so it’s set to be a pretty Manc affair.
There’s no escape quite like a trip to Moovin Festival, and it’s ultimate way to spend the late summer Bank Holiday in Manchester. Well established and loved amongst those in the know, and famous for its attention to detail, bespoke feel and friendly crowds, Moovin takes place at the eco-friendly Whitebottom farm in the stunning countryside of Etherow Country Park in Compstall.
Through the magical canopy of foliage, Moovin is proudly independent with a counter cultural feel. In addition to a stellar musical line-up, it’s a place to enjoy ethically sourced foods and cocktails, yoga classes, holistic healing treatments and enjoy circus performers, fire, magic, mayhem and more festival fun and surprises to help you forget the outside world for a truly special weekend.
Groove Armada, who make a welcome return to the festival this year, said about the festival in 2018: “At the bottom of a tree lined valley, a hay barn with a fat sound-system. A freewheeling crowd, no VIP red ropes, no hassle from the authorities, just music and good vibes.”
Tickets will sell out, so if you want a piece of this wonderful, eco-friendly event bringing both local talent and musicians from far and wide together to Stockport, you can find tickets for Moovin Festival here.
Moovin Festival takes place on August 25 – 27 at Whitebottom Farm Compstall, Etherow Country Park, Stockport, SK6 5JQ.
