Little nuggets of Mayfair have been trickling their way into Manchester over the years – with China White and Mahiki paving the way for an influx of new businesses taking a chance on the Rainy City. And it seems it’s a chance worth taking, given that the likes of Soho House, Sexy Fish, Mollie’s Diner and now Latin American hotspot MNKY HSE have their eyes set on joining Manchester’s vibrant hospitality scene.
Set to open on October 14, MNKY HSE has selected Manchester to house its second-ever UK restaurant, with a site snapped up on Lloyd Street – just opposite Spinningfields – secured for the new location.
Loved for its upmarket Latin American-inspired menu, guests can dig into tacos, caviar, ceviche, sea bass and more, alongside luxurious platters designed for sharing and stunning cocktails inspired by the region. Think whiskey, rum, tequila and agave-based concoctions, sweetened with South American flavours such as dark chocolate, lime, chilli, tropical flowers and more.
Other menu highlights include their epic £1000 platter filled with caviar, Kamchatka King crab legs, ceviches, Ostra Regal oysters, tacos, sushi and more, alongside a large selection of meat and fish cooked on the robata grill.
The 102-cover bar and restaurant will feature a multi-sensory design and lighting experience, including a central bar, open kitchen and prominent DJ booth – where lively music will be played from day to night – alongside a carefully curated live music programme.
Tom Curle from MNKY HSE Manchester commented: “We are delighted to bring MNKY HSE to Manchester. The brand has already established a fantastic reputation in London and the Middle East as the place to be seen, whilst providing exceptional food and entertainment,”
Boris Kofman, MNKY HSE Co-Founder, said: “MNKY HSE Manchester is the perfect place to eat, drink and play – with a restaurant, bar and club under the same roof. The new MNKY HSE Manchester offering is accessible for all and we can’t wait to welcome our first guests through the doors next month.”
