Manchester is preparing for a city‑wide Pride celebration this August with Manchester Village Pride and an extensive new Pride Fringe featuring the Manchester LGBTQ+ Film & TV Festival, SCENE, and performances at HOME and Aviva Studios. Family events include Proud Fest at Great Northern Warehouse and Manchester Arndale’s Pose with Pride weekend.
Alongside comedy, club nights, exhibitions and walking tours, venues across the city will come together for a month‑long celebration. Many events will raise vital funds for local LGBTQIA+ charities, with Manchester’s hotels also joining in with dedicated Pride packages, parties, free gifts and discounts.
Manchester Village Pride (Friday 28 – Monday 31 August)
Manchester Village Pride focuses on community, inclusivity and solidarity across its four‑day festival. Celebrations launch on the Main Stage on Friday 28 August, showcasing queer talent from Manchester and across the UK.
The Community Showcase returns to Sackville Gardens, celebrating representation, culture and grassroots voices, and remains the protected home of the Pride Vigil. The Dance Arena will highlight queer club culture and Manchester’s LGBTQ+ nightlife.
Monday 31 August is Family Day, celebrating LGBTQIA+ parents and families in a welcoming environment, and a free Lifestyle & Community Expo will also be available.

Manchester Village Pride Parade
On Saturday 29 August, the iconic Pride Parade returns to the city centre. Inspired by The Wizard of Oz, this year’s theme is “No Place Like Home”.
The annual Pride Parade will begin at 12pm on Liverpool Road/Deansgate, and ends at the Gay Village on Whitworth Street around 3pm. Grab your ruby slippers, rally your friends, allies, and found family, and come down to watch the magic unfold! Whether you are part of the LGBTQI+ community or a proud ally, bring your courage, your heart, and your loudest cheering voice.
Road closures
To allow Pride 2026 to take place, road closures will be in place in the city centre.
The following roads will be closed between 6am – 7pm on Saturday 29 August:
