The Luna Cinema will once again be taking over iconic venues up and down the country for another summer of cinema under the stars. What started with a viewing of Some Like It Hot in Dulwich Park 15 years ago has become the largest open air cinema brand in the country. This year it’s back like it never left with over 150 screenings at more than 40 of the UK’s most stunning locations – including Tatton Park, this time for the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Screenings at Tatton Park start on Friday, August 26 with a showing of the 2021 adaptation of West Side Story. This is followed by the classic John Travolta and Olivia Newton led Grease on Saturday August 27. Then last but not least for the August Bank Holiday offerings is the renowned Moulin Rouge on Sunday 28. More info and tickets available here.
The majestic Tatton Park is going to see its historic grounds provide an epic backdrop to these truly iconic films. With over 1000 acres on the National Trust protected site, the estate will once again play host to screenings of the most iconic films inside the beautifully kept parkland. Whilst you enjoy the films under the stars, you’re in for some pampering. There are several seating options including VIP sofas or the newest addition of the date night deckchair for two. Included with the VIP sofa is a bottle of bubbly, blankets and even a heater! Alongside the tailored seating is access to a full bar and several food options including snack boxes that you can prebook. If you want something sweet and want to opt for something other than popcorn, you’ve even got the option of trying one of the many Little Moons Mochi Ice Cream flavours on offer.
If however, you’re more of a DIY person you also have the option of bringing your own food/picnic/hamper along with you. If you have any allergies or intolerances this is obviously the safe route for you. Just make sure that you don’t bring any alcohol in with you as only alcohol purchased on-site from The Luna Bar will be permitted.
With that lineup of films in this lavish venue, what more could you ask for? You can get yourself tickets to The Luna Cinema here.
