The UK’s much-loved, festive and immersive theatre experience, LaplandUK, has launched a second location in the UK just in time for Christmas 2025. Following the success of their original site in Ascot, the event has expanded to the North West, allowing even more families across the country to experience the magic of the festive season – and the Lapland experience is not too far from Manchester.
Running right up until Christmas Eve, LaplandUK first opened back in 2007 and has welcomed over 1,000,000 guests into its Elven woodland, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, Sir Elton John and The Beckhams. Last year saw a record-breaking 300,00 people join the virtual waiting room for tickets to the festive experience. Representing a total demand for 1.2 million tickets, the event sold out of the 160,000 available in less than 3 hours, in a ticket drop to rival Glastonbury.

What is LaplandUK?
Both LaplandUK Ascot and LaplandUK Manchester are based on six best-selling books, written by founders Mike and Alison Battle, and will offer guests an enchanting, immersive 4.5 hour experience. The event runs for a limited six-week period each year in the build-up to Christmas and is brought to life by world-class production teams and costume designers within a Hollywood-grade film set.
LaplandUK depicts a magical world in which 31 characters come together to tell in intricate detail, the untold story of Father Christmas and the elves as they prepare for the biggest night of the year. The festive experience combines the scale and detail of film production with the believability of live theatre, reimagining the untold story of Father Christmas.

The experience features breathtaking performances and interactive activities, including assisting the Toy Factory Elves to make a toy for Father Christmas’ Sleigh, decorating gingerbread with Mother Christmas, ice skating on the frozen pond, and the magical finale: an intimate and personalised encounter with Father Christmas.
Where will Lapland Manchester be located?
The new Lapland Manchester site, set at Capesthorne Hall, in the village of Siddington, Cheshire, is just over an hour from Manchester city centre by car or public transport. The site spans an impressive 173,131.66 square metres, with an expected capacity to welcome over 178,000 guests – similar to the visitor numbers at the original site in 2023.
The address of the site is Capesthorne Hall, Congleton Road, Siddington, Cheshire, SK11 9JY.
