Stunning as ever and ready for a glittering Christmas season, the King Street Townhouse has transformed into a festive wonderland, with tons of fabulous things to do in-store at the glam hotel especially for December. Shimmering with Christmas lights inside and out, the venue will host both festive afternoon teas and Christmassy cinema screenings, where guests will be able to kick back and relax away from the Manchester chill.
Kicking off this week, the hotel’s cosy, mini cinema will show a huge array of festive screenings ahead of Christmas Day, with tons of classics to enjoy including Home Alone, Elf, Love Actually, The Santa Claus, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Muppets Christmas Carol, Die Hard and It’s A Wonderful Life.
Costing just £30 per person, each guest receives a comfy seat to relax in for the duration of the screening, in addition to a choice of drink (including yummy cocktails), a generous bucket of popcorn and a sugary hit of pick ‘n’ mix. Screening only tickets cost £15 and a child ticket including refreshments costs £25.50 per person.
Running from December 10, the screenings will take place throughout the whole month alongside showings of the World Cup 2022 matches, with special screenings also taking place on Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The New Year showings will replace the Christmas classic with a number of heartwarming Hollywood hits, including Sing, When Harry Met Sally, Superbad, The Bad Guys, Bridget Jones’ Diary and Step Brothers.
Inspired by seasonal flavours, the traditional afternoon tea at King Street Townhouse has been given a Christmas twist, featuring the likes of turkey and sage stuffing sandwiches, roast beef wraps, a mulled winter berry macaron and spiced pear and almond tart. Afternoon teas are available from £28 per person, and you can upgrade the celebration to include champagne at £38 per person.
