We’ve known and loved the incredible Half Dozen Other since its inception, and with the Manchester bakery supplying irresistible goods to some of our beloved coffee shops too, we’ve developed quite the taste for their baked delights. So when we heard Half Dozen Other was opening a new site in Circle Square, you can imagine how buzzing we were.
Half Dozen Other still operates out of its original bakehouse in the Red Bank area of Manchester, which opens for three days a week to the public, but also supplies Pot Kettle Black (PKB) around the city, since Half Dozen Other was the brainchild of PKB founders Jon and Mark, and Manchester baker Mark Wegner.
Announcing the news, Half Dozen Other posted on Instagram: “OPPOSITE GREGGS. THE EXACT OPPOSITE. Yes, the rumours are true. We’re opening our doors this December at Circle Square and we absolutely cannot wait to show you what we’ve been working on.
“The gang have been busy creating a brand new range, proving that pastry is for life, not just for breakfast. Stay tuned for more news, see you soooon!”
Serving up pistachio éclairs, cinnamon buns, peanut butter and jelly croissants, impressive Danish pastries and flavoured focaccias, Half Dozen Other is wanted around Manchester by an overwhelming majority. The new Circle Square location will be perfect – being the complete opposite side of Manchester to the bakehouse, and a short distance from the universities and the general hustle and bustle of town.
Half Dozen Other will be joining plenty of Manchester names at Circle Square as the area expands, including Detroit Slims, Onda Pasta Bar and Mr Su, alongside North Taproom for your evening pleasure.
We cannot wait to get our hands on even more Half Dozen Other pastries and baked goods, and it’s set to open its door this December.
📍 Half Dozen Other will be located at Circle Square, Oxford Rd, Manchester M1 7FS.
