Pretty much everyone in Manchester loves Gooey, and of course, that includes us. Whether you’re after a filling egg sando, an indulgent Rolo cookie, or the newest wacky creation on the block, we’re so proud to have Gooey here in Manchester, and for it to call the city home. Now, after an announcement just a few weeks ago that it would be expanding to Circle Square, Gooey has revealed its plans to open in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, for those pre-flight cravings.
In an Instagram post, Gooey said: “Gooey, T2 Manchester Airport. Opening soon […] Always think back to that second picture whenever we hit a new milestone. March 2020, only two weeks after launching Gooey and everything came to a halt. We had to move out of our kitchen and close our little kiosk in Stevenson Square.

“It’s been some journey looking back on it all […] A huge, huge thank you for your continued support. We’re into our 3rd year at the cafe and we’ve just had our busiest Summer yet. Knowing at some point you’ll be able to go through Manchester Airport and see our bakery there is mental.”
Picture it: you’ve dragged your luggage through the airport, whipped everything out for security, finally got to the other side and only have the flight to go… you sit down, and now you can take a bite out of some of Gooey’s best creations – now that’s what we call starting your holiday on the right note.

Gooey has also teased more to come, saying at the end of the announcement “We’ve got a big end to this year with a few more very exciting announcements to come.” Trust us, Gooey, we’re on tenterhooks.
Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport is already set to welcome the likes of a 472-seat food market, a boutique high street-style shopping area complete with a Champagne Bar and premium brands, artisan cafes and a brasserie, plus a Fever-Tree bar serving cocktails. Gooey is most certainly set to be in good company when it opens in Terminal 2 at Manchester Airport, which we’re assured will be “soon”…
