Experience the wonders of panto this Christmas!
Just when we thought Christmas was cancelled, the first-ever drive-in pantomime has swooped in to save us (oh yes, it has!) – with a whole host of dates confirmed to entertain us during the festive period.
Forming part of the Gisburne Park Pop Up – the UK’s first socially distanced festival which launched this summer – the family-friendly show has put its own spin on the classic story of Aladdin, featuring a modern twist including pop songs and humour for all generations to enjoy.
Bringing the magic of panto to us at a time when the arts and theatre, in particular, have struggled at the hands of COVID-19, the fun event will allow guests to watch the show from the safety of their own cars, where you’ll, of course, be able to enjoy the benefit of your own car’s heating and personal stash of snacks.
Prepare to dance, sing along and shout classic panto lines such as “he’s behind you!”, with a magical Christmas parade also planned once the show is over.
The pantomime, which kicked off earlier this month, has proven incredibly popular with North West-dwellers already, so if you fancy getting in on the fun – we’d recommend booking your tickets ASAP. Tickets for the shows are on sale now, with performances taking place from 18-23rd December.
