The sun is shining and it’s got us all flocking to our nearest beer garden, plus to make things even better you can enjoy a free pint this week. Pub brand Craft Union is celebrating its 10th anniversary by giving away a massive 10,000 free drinks this Wednesday (May 14) and 17 pubs across Greater Manchester are taking part.
But the celebrations for Craft Union’s anniversary don’t stop there. Craft Union is also raising money for local causes, donating 10p from every pint sold on the day — with a total of £20,000 expected to be raised. Each individual pub will choose a local cause to donate their funds too.
How to claim a free drink
Guests will receive one free drink on Wednesday 14th May while stocks last – these guests can choose from a pint of Birra Moretti, a single Gordons and mixer, or a regular glass Coca-Cola product such as Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero, Diet Coke, or Schweppes Lemonade. All you have to do is simply turn up and ask for your free drink at one of the 637 Craft Union pubs – and there are 17 pubs in Greater Manchester to choose from.
And if that wasn’t enough, one lucky guest will walk away from their local a whopping £10,000 richer with a huge cash giveaway up for grabs. Every pint purchased on the day will come with a QR code giving guests the chance to enter the big birthday giveaway. The winner will be contacted the following day — so all it takes is one pint to be in with a shot!
The 10,000 free drink giveaway is while stocks last. Each pub has their own set allocation of drinks to be given away on Wednesday 14th May, with the offer limited to one free drink per person.

We’re delighted to have raised more than one million pounds for local causes in the last 12 months, and we are incredibly grateful to our guests for their unwavering support and enthusiasm in raising funds for charities – so what better way to show our appreciation than a drink on us!
“Make sure you get yourself down to your local Craft Union pub on Wednesday to claim your one free drink while stocks last, we’re expecting the nation to get through 10,000 drinks in no time at all!”
Craft Union opened its first site back in 2015, The Market Tavern in Stoke-on-Trent, and now 10 years later, there are a total of 637 Craft Union pubs. The pub company has opened 78 pubs in the UK in the last 12 months alone, equating to a new Craft Union pub opening just over every four days for a whole year.
