First Dates is looking for ‘background daters’ now that they are finally ready to resume filming.
First Dates is a show we all know and love. The ultimate entertainment in the evening is definitely watching some couples doing a lot better than others at finding love in front of a camera.
The show is set to resume filming in the coming weeks, and they’re on the lookout for extras for ‘background dates’ in their newest series. First Dates had originally begun production in Spinningfields in March, but was forced to halt procedures when lockdown hit the UK.
First Dates took to Instagram with this post: “The First Dates restaurant is coming to Manchester, and we’re looking for couples aged 18-21 from the local area to join us in the restaurant as background daters when the cameras arrive in the coming weeks.
“Each couple will receive £50 towards the cost of their meal and will get to enjoy the atmosphere of the First Dates restaurant during filming, without the pressure of being a featured dater on a blind date”.
The hit Channel Four dating show that pairs couples together for dinner to see if they’re a match will be up-and-running once again! However, it will of course be a markedly different affair this time round, due to social-distancing measures.
First Dates Managing Director Leanne Klein said: “We are very excited to be taking our flagship dating series to [Manchester]. With the move of the First Dates restaurant, we will have the chance to expose our daters to a brand new experience with a few exciting new tweaks to the much loved format.”
