It takes gaming experiences to a whole new level.
Officially opening its doors just yesterday, Electric Playbox has taken the leap up North, opening its second-ever site following success in London.
Joining Manchester’s diverse array of interactive experiences, the new immersive game offers up four adventures for players to choose from – with each taking place in a state of the art ‘Playbox’, a room which uses projection mapping, touch screens and motion tracking visors. Each ‘Playbox’ allows for six players to take part, allowing for an epic shared screenplay game with your friendship group or family.
The unique game requires teams to work together collaboratively to complete a series of mini-adventures, with sessions lasting 60 minutes. Can you prevent the alien race from taking over planet Earth? Or can you save a royal family in desperate need of your help?
Speaking of the opening, Electric Playbox founder, Will Dean (who also founded Tough Mudder), said: “Our first venue has been a massive hit with Londoners, and Manchester was always going to be the next place to launch the Electric Playbox concept. The city has a thriving entertainment scene and we’re so excited to welcome families, couples, and friends to tackle our Adventures.”
The new gaming concept is now open at Halle Place, Manchester Arndale – with COVID-safe measures in place to keep guests safe. Tickets must be purchased beforehand, and are available online now. Electric Playbox is located at Unit R3, Halle Place, Arndale Centre, M4 3AQ.
