easyJet has today (September 24) announced a new route from Manchester Airport to Bastia on the French island of Corsica. The new route gives holidaymakers from across the North West another choice for exploring Corsica, whether discovering Bastia’s historic streets, waterfront and Genoese heritage or travelling further afield to experience the island’s beaches, traditional villages and dramatic landscapes.
The launch of easyJet‘s new service to Bastia makes Manchester the only UK airport outside London to offer a direct service to Corsica. The new service will launch from 29 June 2027 and is set to operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays throughout next summer. Flight fares start from £41.48 one way per person including taxes.

What does Bastia in Corsica have to offer?
Located in the north-east of Corsica, Bastia combines a historic old town and picturesque harbour with easy access to the island’s spectacular coastline, beaches and mountain scenery, making it an ideal destination for a relaxing summer getaway.
Relax under hundred-year-old plane trees at Place Saint-Nicolas by the ferry terminal, which is famous for its cafes and Sunday flea market, or head to the Old Port for a meal or a drink by the water, surrounded by colourful pastel buildings and bobbing fishing boats. Other activities you can do in Bastia include walking up to the historic Citadel (Terra Nova) for incredible views of the sea, shopping for local artisan goods, crafts, and Corsican delicacies on Rue Napoléon or taking a walk along L’Aldilonda, a modern coastal walkway built directly over the waves.
