Canadian rapper Drake has postponed his show in Manchester on Monday 28th July due to “travel logistics” according to a statement issued by Co-op Live. Five-time Grammy-award-winning and multi-platinum global artist Drake returned to the UK for the first time in six years, performing two gigs in Manchester as part of his ‘$ome $pecial $hows 4 UK‘ tour on Friday 25th July and Saturday 26th July and supported by PARTYNEXTDOOR. Drake is also due to perform another concert at Co-op Live on Monday 4th August.
Most widely known for his early 2010s collaborations with the likes of Rihanna, including What’s My Name? and Take Care, Drake is also known for hits such as One Dance, Passionfruit and Hotline Bling. Drake also released his new single Which One with UK rapper Central Cee (who he also brought out on stage at his Manchester gig last night) on July 25 during an episode of his Iceman stream. Beady-eyed Mancs may notice that the video was filmed around Manchester including Manchester Piccadilly station and Victoria Baths.

Drake has rescheduled the postponed Manchester show at the UK’s largest and most sustainable live entertainment venue for Tuesday 5th August. Organisers have said that “all tickets remain valid for the new date”.
Why has Drake postponed the Manchester show on July 28?
A statement on Co-op Live’s website said: “Due to unforeseen ferry schedule and travel logistics, tomorrow’s performance in Manchester on July 28th has been rescheduled.”
It added: “The good news is that Drake will now perform in Manchester on Tuesday, August 5th, and it’s set to be an unforgettable night. All tickets remain valid for the new date—we can’t wait to see you there!”
