Whether you consider it a Christmas film or not, Die Hard, the 1988 classic starring Bruce Willis, is a firm favourite for many during the festive period. So iconic, the action film that follows New York City police detective John McClane, who is caught up in a terrorist takeover of a Los Angeles skyscraper while visiting his estranged wife, has inspired one Manchester restaurant to create a festive burger dedicated to Die Hard.
Inviting Mancs to get into the festive spirit, The Blues Kitchen in Manchester has launched a brand new Christmas burger to indulge in. Known as the Yippee-Ki-Yay Burger, named after the famous line from everyone’s favourite unofficial Christmas film, Die Hard, it’s a blockbuster of a burger.
Be transported to a Christmas like no other as The Blues Kitchen injects their signature soul food flavours into this festive burger to enjoy against a backdrop of soul, rhythm and blues. The Yippee-Ki-Yay burger comes stacked with a Panko Crusted Turkey Fillet, Celeriac Remoulade, Roast Carrot Puree and a delicious Pork and Pistachio stuffing.
The Yippee-Ki-Yay burger follows on from The Blues Kitchen’s special Thanksgiving burger which also featured a panko-crusted turkey fillet, alongside roast pumpkin and cinnamon puree (reminiscent of the classic pumpkin pie flavours), maple glazed bacon, and mac ‘n’ cheese, in a pillowy soft brioche bun. Guests can also tuck into the likes of buffalo chicken wings, smoked baby back ribs, cajun popcorn squid, cheeseburger spring rolls and mac ‘n’cheese to upgrade your Die Hard burger into an absolute feast- it’s Christmas time after all.
Blues Kitchen is also a great destination to host a Christmas party for colleagues, family or friends, with incredible live music performances alongside an extensive drink menu and one of the top Christmas burgers in the city. The Yippee-Ki-Yay Burger inspired by Die Hard will be available all month right up until December 31.
