As we find ourselves at the beginning of a summer of sport, Courts Club in Manchester has opened right back up for the season, and you can’t keep us away from the courts. The basketball and tennis-inspired bar serves up sport via its courts as well as sporting event screenings, including football, rugby, tennis and so much more – if you’re a sport fan, this is the spot for you.
Having opened in 2024, Courts Club is situated within the new St Johns development and features access to a full basketball and tennis court as well as laidback seating (both indoors and outdoors), benched dining and lounge chairs at the courtside venue.
Courts Club serves up a curated small bites menu and drink selection to enjoy brunch or a morning coffee on the outside terrace post-match on the courts or alongside watching sporting events on the big screen. Tuck into the likes of the “Courts Club” sandwich or Hawaiian bacon, habanero and kiwi hot sauce and sliced pineapple grilled cheese or one of the bar’s tasty salad bowls.
The Courts Club 2025 Summer Series features a host of hot happenings throughout the week in and around ‘Manchester’s Best Beer Garden’, consisting of:
- Cantina & Margs – Enjoy mouthwatering food and drink specials every week from Wednesday to Saturday, with the pop-up killer combo of Cantina, Cali-Mex street food, and the Margs Van; think tacos, quesadillas, cowboy caviar, loaded nachos and corn ribs, alongside your favourite drinks plus fresh new serves like the Passionfruit Frozen Marg and the house special, Pineapple Marg Spritz;
- Saturday Hoops – from 6pm every week, enjoy free hoop shots as you soak up a slice of block party culture; DJs celebrate classic hip hop and that New York vibe, a nod to hip hop’s early days where MCs and ballers shared the same streets and courts;
- Sunday Screenings – book your free seats to enjoy the weekly outdoor cinema, including the likes of Star Wars, Coach Carter/Pretty Woman, and Space Jam/Bohemian Rhapsody;
- Wednesday Courtside Quiz – pit your wits against other Manchester masterminds from 6pm for just £2 per person, for the chance to win a bar tab for your team – or a runners-up mystery prize!
