Ok, so we obviously couldn’t write an article about éclairs without making a choux pun, we apologise, but we’re sure you’ll forgive us with the news that an éclair bakery exists right here on Manchester. Putting a colourful spin on the classic French pastry, Choo Choo is set to be our latest haunt, with ‘indulgent bakes’ and ‘steamy coffees’ on offer.
Opening their doors at the Deansgate Square complex back in March before swiftly snapping up a space at Escape to Freight Island, Manchester’s newest sweet spot takes the traditional éclair to new, Instagrammable heights, with an array of delicious flavours to choose from.
Creating mash-ups with other traditional desserts, guests can expect flavours such as lemon meringue pie, peanut butter and jelly, salted caramel espresso, rum and pineapple – along with other ‘sticky bakes’ and seasonal creations to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Each tasty éclair is, of course, made in the classic style with choux dough, a creamy filling and icing on top, with Heart & Craft coffees to accompany. The Mancunian roasters have absolutely nailed the craft of coffee roasting, and source out the very best beans for their customers for you to dunk, sip and enjoy alongside your sugar fix.
