Manchester’s very own Blossoms are set to headline a one-off intimate gig on February 10 and what’s more, tickets are completely free! Following the comeback of Club NME in 2023 with Courteeners in London, Stockport’s Blossoms will be performing a live Club NME set at the tiny music venue Club Academy in Manchester.
This Club NME night is the latest event that NME will host in collaboration with new interactive platform Ladbrokes LIVE. All tickets to these events are being kept free, allowing music lovers the opportunity to connect with their favourite artists in intimate, local spaces.
Having played some of the biggest venues around including Stockport County FC’s Edgeley Park and, of course, the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury, Blossoms will be playing their most intimate gig in years as the Club Academy, part of the University of Manchester’s student union, has a capacity of just 650 people.
The Club NME gig at the Club Academy comes as Blossoms are also set to play a huge outdoor gig at Wythenshawe Park in South Manchester this August bank holiday weekend, alongside incredible slots at festivals such as TRNSMT and Isle of Wight. Whilst we’ll be hoping to hear old classics like Blown Rose and Charlemagne, and newer tunes such as Your Girlfriend and To Do List (After the Breakup), we’re just happy that these Manc boys are returning home, if just for a night.
More indie bangers will come from a special to-be-announced guest support DJ and Radio X DJ Sunta Templeton to keep the party going all night.
Doors open at 8pm for the upcoming Manchester night, ensuring you get to see Blossoms in all their glory, and the event will run until 1am. Ticket holders will be admitted on a first-come first-served basis – if you arrive at the venue after 8pm, you’re not guarantee to be admitted in time to see the live performance.
Tickets for the free Blossoms gig will be released on January 12 at 9am here. Sign up to the waitlist now to receive a reminder when tickets go live.
