One of Manchester’s most loved and recognisable party people, Bez is hitting Freight Island for a melon twisting big bottomless brunch rave. Think 90s Manchester vibes, 90s dance classics and indie anthems and probably the shake of a maraca or two. Bolton-born Bez will be helping host proceedings with some live action on the mic, plus there will be an opportunity to grab a pic with the main man himself at this bottomless brunch rave up.
The hype man is best known for his bizarre style of dancing, use of maracas and being part of rock band Happy Mondays. In recent years Bez shot back into the limelight as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother, and regularly appears on Celebrity Gogglebox with childhood friend and Happy Mondays frontman, Shaun Ryder.
If this bottomless brunch is anything like Bez’s animated performances and appearances then you can expect quite the fun-filled weekend with free-flowing booze. Taking place at Freight Island on Saturday 1st July from 12pm, those attending the Big Bez Brunch can expect bottomless drinks for 90 minutes and a great selection of scran from the venue’s street food vendors.
Traders here include pizza spot Voodoo Rays, Amsterdam-inspired chip joint The Fry By, five-layer lasagne spot Lazy Tony’s Lasagneria, curry spot Payal, Koko Sushi and dessert spot Oh My Cheesecake. As well as delicious food to devour and refreshing drinks to sip on, there will also be plenty of entertainment from Bez alongside music from DJs and singers from when the doors open at 12 until 2:30pm.
This will be the first in a series of Saturday brunches at Freight Island, with tickets for ABBA, Hip Hop and Drag Bottomless brunches all on sale now. Tickets are on sale now for the Big Bez Brunch priced from £35 and can be bought on the Freight Island website here.
