Nestle is giving biscuit lovers the chance to create their own bespoke KitKats.
Christmas is just around the corner (sort of) which means months of hunting for the perfect personalised stocking filler. Thankfully, Nestle is way ahead of the game this year and has already come up with this year’s must-have present, potentially.
Nestle is giving shoppers the chance to create their own bespoke biscuits in its ‘KitKat Chocolatory’, which will pop-up in John Lewis’s flagship London store in Oxford Street on Thursday. And in the Trafford Centre store on October 1.
The ‘Create Your Break’ option will offer 1500 different flavour combinations from four different chocolate varieties (milk, dark, white and ruby) combined with a host of diverse ingredients including shortbread pieces, salted caramel chunks, honeycomb and rose petals.
The stores will also be stocking premade special edition bars, available in seven flavours inspired by popular British desserts and other classic British flavours. Including, cherry bakewell, marmalade, apple and rhubarb crumble, Earl Grey, blackberry and elderflower, lemon posset and Manchester favourite dandelion and burdock.
As well as six handcrafted Special Edition flavoured bars – Nuttlylicious, Zingtastic Gin and Tonic, Billionaire’s Treasure, Jewels of the East, Springtime in Japan, Whisky and Ginger, which will also be available at the shop and on johnlewis.com.
Customers will be able to make up gift boxes of their favourites from the seven bars and have it personalised with a message etched by laser.
Rabia Khan, Head of KitKat Chocolatory for Nestlé UK & Ireland, said:
“KitKat is our biggest brand and this is the biggest news for KitKat since the introduction of the KitKat Chunky exactly 20 years ago.
“We know how much people enjoy experimenting with new and exciting KitKat flavours and the KitKat Chocolatory offers a whole new, premium KitKat experience as well as the chance to create your very own personalised break and have it delivered right to your door.”
Rachel Costello, John Lewis Partner and Gift Food Buyer, said:
“I think our customers will love these exciting new flavours from such an iconic, much-loved brand and the experience of making their own KitKat. There are so many options that everyone can find their perfect flavour. These special KitKats will make fun and unique Christmas gifts and stocking fillers.”
The eight-fingered bespoke bars are priced at £14 each and will be available from the Oxford Street and Trafford Centre John Lewis stores. And via the KitKat Chocolatory webstore, which will launch before Christmas. The KitKat Best of British personalised gift box (8 fingers) costs £12 and the Special Editions Bars cost £7.50 for 6 fingers and £12 for 12 fingers.
