You may be familiar with Bershka online or on fashion retailer sites like ASOS, but now Manchester has finally been blessed with its very own Bershka store. The Spanish fashion brand currently has stores in London, Cardiff, Bristol, Brighton, Kent, Birmingham, Sheffield, Liverpool, Glasgow and Edinburgh, and now a Bershka store has opened at the Trafford Centre.

Global fashion retail group, Inditex, which also owns brands such as Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Stradivarius and Oysho, has relocated and upsized its Zara and Pull&Bear stores to a new location at Trafford Centre. With this move, it will see the stores take over the former M&S site and therefore make room for Bershka to join the Greater Manchester shopping centre for the first time.
The three new stores (Bershka, Zara and Pull&Bear) will separately occupy flagship stores on Peel Avenue. Opening this week, Bershka is known for its womenswear, menswear and teen clothing range (BSK), and has had collaborations with the likes of Hello Kitty, Bratz, Dragonball Z and Disney’s Cars.

The new Bershka store at the Trafford Centre features noble woods, ceramic finishes, lacquered MDF panels, and even stone surfaces interact within the space as well as small rectangular LED spotlights with warm and comfortable lighting. Spanning 1200 m², the flagship store showcase Bershka’s full range, with three independent sections for the brand’s Bershka, BSK and Man collections.
Another unique addition to the Bershka store are their AR mirrors created in collaboration with FFFACE.ME and Snapchat, which are two mirrors with augmented reality technology allowing customers to try on products through different filters, just by standing in front of them. Plus, by scanning the QR on the AR mirrors, customers can access the Digital Fitting Room on the Bershka app, where they can use these or other filters available on their mobile phones and share the content directly on their social media profiles.

The brand has also teamed up with UK radio platform NTS as a curator, focusing on emerging artists from around the world. NTS will curate sessions and playlists to be played in Bershka stores, as well as creating and developing musical experiences in its spaces. NTS live streamed the reopening of Bershka Trafford on its online platform from the store itself and broadcast it through an ephemeral radio station created especially for the opening.
Bershka first opened back in 1998 as a new brand of the Inditex group and it now has more than 1,000 stores in over 70 markets.
Bershka is now open at the Trafford Centre, Trafford Park, Stretford, M17 8AA.
