A familiar Christmas tradition for many of us is an annual trip to the garden centre, where we can immerse ourselves in a magical winter wonderland. With the big day on the horizon, the excitement is building, and now one of our most magical garden centres near Greater Manchester has been named one of the most festive in the UK – no prizes for guessing, it’s Bents in Warrington.
Intrigued to find out more, UK holiday park provider, Verdant Parks, has analysed thousands of garden centres across England to conclude the most magical garden centres to visit this winter, investigating factors for each such as festive displays, events with Santa and festive menus and can reveal that Bents is among the most festive to visit this December.
Bents Garden Centre is third most festive in the UK
The study reveals that Bents Garden and Home ranks among England’s most festive garden centres to visit. The centre hosts enchanting winter scenes throughout the store, as well as festive workshops and window displays.
Widely known for its immersive light trail, this year follows the story of ‘Alice in the hidden garden‘, full of dazzling installations and magical storytelling, it’s definitely not one to be missed this December. As well as opportunities to visit Santa, at Bents Garden and Home guests can enjoy dining in winter globes and even free photography sessions for little ones. It really is a winter wonderland for the whole family.
Other festive UK garden centres
Topping the study as England’s most festive, Bosworth’s Garden Centre in Burton Latimer, Kettering, is home to a magical VR sleigh ride where participants can be whisked away to starry skies and enchanting winter scenes.
In joint first place is Whilton Locks Garden Village, where, after shopping, guests can enjoy activities such as ice skating from just £7.45 per adult. Trained ice stewards always monitor the ice to ensure it is safe and enjoyable for all of the family.
Also in joint first place is Dobbies Garden Centre in Bury St Edmunds, where visits to Santa’s Grotto are underway, as well as special ‘Santa Paws‘ events for our furry friends, too. Festive dining options are also available at the garden centre.
Thetford Garden Centre in Norfolk, ranks as the second most festive garden centre to visit this December, where various events will be held throughout December, including breakfast (or supper!) with Santa, Christmas portrait opportunities, Santa’s Grotto and ‘Santa Paws’ events.
