Life can be pretty grey and bland in Manchester, mostly due to the weather, but one thing that’s sure to brighten up any day is the sight of magical hot air balloons. Luckily for us, Balloons & Beats Festival is coming to Manchester this summer, bringing beautiful hot air balloons and amazing musical performances to Platt Fields Park – plus, kids under three go free!
After having flown into Nottingham and Wrexham, Balloons & Beats Festival comes to Manchester ton June 27 and 28, before heading to Chepstow Racecourse. Witness captivating hot air balloons take flight as electrifying live music fills the air at this one-of-a-kind festival, promising an unforgettable fusion of aerial artistry and infectious rhythms.
Perfect for families, friends and music lovers, Balloons & Beats Festival of course includes hot air balloon displays and evening glows, live music performances, family entertainment, kids characters and craft stalls, fairground rides, BMX and FMX stunt shows, plus delicious food vendors and fully stocked bars and classic Punch & Judy shows, bring that classic British seaside vibe to suburban Manchester.
Hot air balloons can only fly in stable weather conditions, which include light and stable surface and upper winds, no rain, clear and legal visibility with an appropriate cloud base, and no thunderstorm activity in the area or forecast – activities may be cancelled if conditions are unsuitable.
There will be plenty of on-site parking and accessible facilities available, and Platt Fields Park is conveniently located for walking or getting the bus from the city centre or from south Manchester in.
