Albert’s restaurant in West Didsbury has opened with a new look.
The restaurant, which has been closed since the beginning of January for the transformation, reopened today (March 15) just in time for Mother’s Day. The opening will be celebrated with a party for Albert’s customers to welcome them to the completely redesigned restaurant.
James Ramsbottom from Albert’s said:
“We are really pleased to say that we have now opened the doors to our stunning new look restaurant.
“We want to say a big thank you to our customers for their patience whilst the work was carried out.
“It’s great that we are open in time for Mother’s Day and are offering an extra special experience with a brand-new restaurant and bar to enjoy plus lots of new cocktails.”
A spokesman for the bar said the interior, designed by Space Invader Design, features eye-catching colourways of dark green, blue, gold and brown with lush materials such as velvet used in the seating area.
The look is complemented with a wall of living plants separating the restaurant and bar area. Lighting is a key feature including a beautifully designed centrepiece inspired by the elegance of birds singing and celebrating life designed by Umut Yama.
The spokesman said the expansion of the bar area aims to create a new destination for Manchester residents as well as visitors from further afield. And the Albert’s team promise a fabulous new bar experience with a big revamped range of local craft beers, cocktails, fizz and wines.
Described as a ‘warm, welcoming new neighbourhood bar experience’ the venue will host pre-bookable party tables, making it an exciting addition to the Didsbury social scene. It will also be home to the full Didsbury Gin range which will be on show in a botanical-themed back bar serving bespoke Gin and Tonics, all created with the collection.
The outside area also boasts a new look including chairs and tables for 76 people on the terrace and up to 120 people on the lower terrace.
The Albert’s food menu remains the same and customers will be able to still enjoy their firm favourites. And for the first time Albert’s will be serving a traditional afternoon tea, all created in the Albert’s style.
