City-centre living specialists Affinity Living are hosting Manchester city centre’s first dog adoption fair on November 26, in collaboration with Manchester Dogs’ Home (MDH). Aiming to find rescue dogs their fur-ever home, the free event will be open to the public and their pups, meaning anyone interested in taking the leap and adopting a dog will be able to learn more about the range of breeds up for adoption from Manchester Dogs’ Home.
There will be pictures and information on all of the rescue dogs who are ready to be adopted, and the Dogs’ Home team of experts will be on hand to chat to guests about the prospective adoptees, giving special insight into the quirks and personalities of all the pooches looking for a home. The MDH team will also be hosting an urban-pup masterclass, bringing guests top tips and hints about the best ways to raise a dog in an urban environment, in particular apartments.
Guests will also be able to meet some of the happy hounds who have recently been successfully adopted with the help of Manchester Dogs’ Home. Volunteers from the dogs’ home will be able to introduce guests to the dogs in attendance and tell the stories of rescue dog adoption in action, as well as giving guests an insight into the importance of adopting rather than shopping.
Manchester Dogs’ Home will be selling customisable mugs on the day – for £5, guests will be able to get a custom printed mug featuring themselves and their four-legged friend, with 100% of the proceeds going to Manchester Dogs Home.
There will be pawsome pop-up stalls organised by MCR doggy treat brand, All You Need is Woof, with a percentage of the proceeds going towards Manchester Dogs’ Home. A whole host of canine carnival games will also be available throughout the day for both humans and hounds to enjoy.
Affinity Living’s on site coffee shop Loaf MCR will be on hand providing refreshments for both their human and four-legged guests. Pupcakes and puppucinos will be available for any hounds on the hunt for treats; they’ll be serving their famous handcrafted loafs for residents and visitors, too. Bone appetite!
Affinity Living recognises the importance of ALL hounds having a loving home, which is why they are proud to be officially collaborating with Manchester’s most woofed doggy charity. The Affinity Living dog adoption fair takes place on Sunday 26 November between 2pm-5pm, and you can secure your spot for free here.
Affinity Living Riverview is located at 32 Quay St, Salford, Manchester M3 5FZ.
