Five bus routes serving Stockport Interchange have stop closures, diversions or possible delays this week, and some disruption runs into late November. According to Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM), the routes affected are the 7, 197, 327, 371 and 374.
Two changes end soon: the 197 stop closure on Stockport Road finishes on Monday 2nd November, and the 371 diversion in Timperley ends on Friday 30th October. However, the 327 and 374 changes last longer.
Route 7: possible delays until Friday 13th November
Traffic management on Wellington Road North and School Lane has been in place since Monday 19th October. TfGM warns that buses on route 7 may run late until Friday 13th November, so leave extra time if you need to make a connection.
Route 197: Longsight Library stop closed until Monday 2nd November
Stop A opposite Longsight Library on Stockport Road closed on Tuesday 27th October for emergency roadworks. It will remain closed until Monday 2nd November. Passengers who normally board there will need to use another stop on the route.
Route 327: stop closure and diversion until late November
Two separate changes affect the 327 bus route. The Carrington Road stop opposite Brinnington Road is closed until Tuesday 24th November. Buses are also on diversion until Friday 27th November because of a road closure on Great Portwood Street.
The 327 has the longest disruption of the five, so regular passengers should plan for it well into next month.
Route 371: Timperley diversion until Friday 30th October
Stockport Road in Timperley is closed one-way between Eskdale Drive and Brooklands roundabout. The closure runs from Monday 26th October to Friday 30th October for communication works, and buses on the 371 divert while it lasts. Services should return to the usual route after Friday.
Route 374: Stand S closed until further notice
Stand S at Stockport Interchange is closed, and TfGM has not given a reopening date. Some school bus services use an alternative stand, so check the stand shown for your departure before you queue.

- On the 7 and 327, allow extra journey time while the traffic management and diversions continue.
- On the 197, 327 and 371, look for the nearest open stop if your usual one is closed.
