The ultimate chicken wing showdown returns as Wing Fest is flying back into Manchester this weekend. Featuring hundreds of thousands of wings, fiery food competitions, live music, and a host of traders, the world’s largest chicken wing festival is guaranteed to be a clucking good day out.
Where and when will Wing Fest take place in Manchester?
Wing Fest will return to Manchester from Friday 19th to Sunday 21st September 2025, taking place at the city’s historic Victoria Baths. Manchester Wing Fest will run across four sessions: Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening, and Sunday afternoon.

What to expect at Wing Fest
Over 100,00 wings and a host of traders
This year’s festival promises to be the biggest and boldest yet, with over 100,000 drums and flats served across the weekend. The festival will feature independent food traders, showcasing their skills and competing for the coveted titles of Best Buffalo Wing, Best Wild Wing, and Best BBQ Wing, with festival-goers casting their votes to crown the winners.
Guests can expect a seriously saucy line-up, with 10 different traders including the award-winning Peck Peck, Derby champions BOA, London’s Latino favourites El Pollote, crowd-pleasers Jus’ Wingin It and Manchester’s amazing Asian food hall Hello Oriental – all battling it out for a coveted place in the festival’s legendary Hall of Flame.

Live music, axe throwing, bourbon masterclasses, and wing eating competitions
Alongside the wings, entertainment will feature the infamous Lava Wing Challenge – the UK’s hottest wing competition that has gained a reputation for fiery chaos – and the Flying Goose Wing Eating Competition, where speed and stamina collide in a race to devour as many wings as possible. Entertainment also includes live music, axe throwing, bourbon masterclasses, competitions, games, and arcades – all best enjoyed with a drum and flat in hand.
