What do you get if you combine a Chivas whisky-tasting masterclass, the chance to blend your own whisky and plenty of impressive knowledge? A dram good night, that’s what. The Blend took London by a storm last year and will be returning again to a number of venues around the country, including Manchester. Each one-hour session will include a whisky tasting masterclass, a delicious cocktail and the chance to blend your own Chivas whisky to take home.
Sip on a Chivas and soda while discovering how the different flavour notes work together. Then, nose and taste five different whiskies with a wide range of aromas, textures and flavours. Once you’ve stored that knowledge away for your future whisky-based concoctions, try your hand at blending whisky to your own taste.
This guided tasting session is the best way to experience a lesson in the craftsmanship of master blending. Get technical as you delve into blending mastery while learning about, and tasting, a range of single grain and malt whiskies. Meaning you’ll almost definitely be able to show off to your friends next time you’re having a drink. And with more than 20,000 whisky blending experiences last year, it’s fair to say that you’re in safe hands with the Chivas team.
The masterclass will take place in The Loft in Quay Street, on November 15, 21 and 29 as well as December 6, 10 and 20. But it’s not only a learning activity: head to the bar afterwards, where you’ll find a range of delicious, Chivas drinks.
