The Women’s Rugby World Cup is kicking off this week from August 22, and the tournament is being hosted in England, which means the action is right on our doorstep. 1. The Sisterhood

This summer Manchester sports bar The Brotherhood of Pursuits and Pastimes is putting the spotlight firmly on women’s sport as the country gears up to support the Women’s England Rugby World cup team. Throughout August and September the popular venue will once again rebrand as The Sisterhood, becoming the beating heart of the tournaments a the Red Roses aim to take home the title.

2. Salford Community Stadium

Salford Community Stadium is set to will host four matches for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, including Australia vs Samoa and Scotland vs Wales on August 23 as well as Canada vs Wales and Scotland vs Fiji on August 30 – and there will be a fan zone there too. Tickets, which start from just £5 for children and £10 for adults, are almost sold-out but be quick as you might be able to see the matches live. Plus, you can choose to enjoy the best seats in the house with RWC Experiences, which includes access to an exclusive private suite, drinks reception, complimentary bar and post-match food and drinks services.

3. The Waldorf

If you’re looking for a spot in Manchester to watch the Women’s Rugby World Cup with comfy seats, big HD screens and the perfect view of every try and tackle, then head to The Waldorf. Saturdays are for feasting and you can select from five or seven small plates for a proper feast, plus two pints to wash it all down, at this Manchester pub. 4. Walkabout

Rugby fans will be able to retreat to Walkabout for all of the Women’s Rugby World Cup games, with the Manchester Printworks venue serving beer in two pint-sized glasses. If that wasn’t all, you can grab yourself a burger and a beer to enjoy with your chosen match at the Australian-themed bar. 5. Lass O’Gowrie

Offering a proper pub experience, Lass O’Gowrie will be showing the opening ceremony on Friday 22nd August, featuring a live performance from Anne-Marie, followed by England’s first match against the USA. The pub, which boasts a cinema room and riverside beer garden, will also be showing the group stage games through to Sunday 7th September, and then getting the pints in to watch the quarter finals, starting on Saturday 13th September. Plus, you needn’t have to pay a deposit to book your spot.
