Manchester is obviously a very musical city, and aside from the incredible gigs and festivals, plus increasing awards shows coming to the city, we have a pretty mean vinyl record and vintage scene. With a never-ending list of unique and historic record stores, the Mancunian public is very well-versed in digging through stacks and stacks of retro discs to find the perfect addition to a collection, or first buy to kick off the addiction – and now there’s a record fair coming to town thanks to New Century.

Join Living Room Dance Club as they bring the second edition of the Very Good Plus record fair to New Century on Saturday 13th June, for the best in old school vinyl traders and your favourite independent record labels all in the space of Sadlers Yard.
Give props to your favourite bands and artists at the merch market, enjoy all day DJ takeovers and this year, there’s even more going on out on Sadlers Yard yard. Have a go on the giant drum machine, take part in a workshop, or just hang out by the big screen – whether you’re digging for rare finds or just soaking up the sound, there’s something for everyone.

Come rain or shine, Very Good Plus provides a nostalgic day out for all walks of life, with indoor and outdoor space displaying the best in vinyl. The wonderful food traders at New Century Kitchen will be opening throughout the day, so you can grab a bite to eat and squirrel away a pint in the square once you’ve had a good mooch.
New Century is the perfect place to host the Very Good Plus record fair, being the spot that’s famous for hosting the likes of Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones back in the day, and it continues that legacy now the venue has been lovingly revived. The hall itself also hosts regular vintage fairs alongside its legendary gigs, so the team is well-versed in these market-style events.
The record fair will be operating from 10am-5pm on Saturday 13 June, and all ages are welcome.
