As we know, house prices are through the roof, and any way we can undercut the system to get what we want for the price we want it is always welcome. Now, two Greater Manchester areas have been highlighted as some of the most underrated property hotspots in the UK, within commutable distance of Manchester and with lower house prices than others within the same distance (or even further away).
The report by cash house buyer, Sell House Fast has revealed the best underrated UK property hotspots, analysing affordability, commuting convenience, crime rates, school ratings, quality of life, and local amenities.
Greater Manchester areas ranked as most underrated property hotspots

Two of the most underrated areas to live in the UK are in Greater Manchester, Stalybridge and Mossley, which both offer strong transport links into Manchester, as they’re served by train. At no more than a 20 minute train journey, both Mossley and Stalybridge boast a pretty short commute time to the city centre, and each of them have their own personality and lovely community, with plenty of pubs, green spaces and of course, residential areas.
Also on the list is Newton-le-Willows, which although technically over the border in Merseyside, has been raked with its hub city being Manchester. Similarly to the former two, Newton-le-Willows is well connected to Manchester by train, with a journey time of under 20 minutes, whilst offering more bang for your buck, and surrounding areas including Warrington, Glazebury and even Liverpool are within easy reach.
