This certainly takes the biscuit!
There’s nothing quite like a Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer with a brew. However, it now gets sweeter as you can now stay in a specially-designed caravan inspired by the teatime (or any time) treat.
Yes you heard that right! One of Scotland’s most popular caravan parks, Argyll Holidays, has introduced the Tunnock’s caravan wafer featuring the iconic gold, red and white branding. Unlike their biscuits, which state on the wrapper that 5,000,000 of these biscuits are made and sold each week, this caravan is one of a kind.
Located on the Drimsynie Estate in Lochgoilhead, the modern three-bedroom 38ft caravan, features plenty of biscuit-themed items dotted around the interior. Guests will find Tunnock’s Caramel log and teacake cushions, as well as other Tunnock’s accessories such as plates, mugs, coasters and a clock.
Posting on their social, Argyll Holidays said: “INTRODUCING our brand new Tunnock’s caravan at Drimsynie Estate! We’ve teamed up with our favourite fellow family owned Scottish business to create the first ever Tunnock’s Caravan Wafer. Who can see themselves on holiday here enjoying a caramel wafer and cuppa?”
The listing for the Tunnock’s caravan wafer states that it has “a modern and cosy lounge area”, as well as “a well-equipped kitchen and spacious bedrooms”. Arygll Holidays describe this sweet crib as “the perfect place for a staycation to remember.”

The Tunnock’s-themed caravan also boasts a balcony where you can sit and admire the biscuit design and the view from outdoors. Plus, it sleeps six guests and private parking is included. Tunnock’s fans have responded positively to the design, with some on Twitter asking if a caramel log caravan or teacake teepee would be next.
The company was formed by Thomas Tunnock as Tunnock’s in 1890, when he purchased a baker’s shop in Lorne Place, Uddingston- just under a 20 minute-drive from Glasgow city centre. The Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer that we all know and love was launched in 1952, which were shortly followed by the Snowball, Caramel Log and Teacake later that decade.
Tunnock’s ships to more than 40 countries worldwide and is very popular in the Middle East. Earlier this year, Tunnock’s launched tubs featuring 12 of their mini Caramel Wafers inside.
Breaks start from £300. You can find out more about the caravan and book on the Argyll Holidays website here.
