The highly-anticipated Treehouse Hotel Manchester has finally opened its doors. Treehouse Hotel Manchester is the second UK property from the award-winning Treehouse Hotels brand and will be located in the city centre, on the corner of Blackfriars Street and Deansgate.

Open from today (March 19), Treehouse Hotel Manchester boasts 224 guest rooms, including nine suites and three accessible rooms, multiple event spaces, an expansive screening room and a gymnasium. The hotel promises to offer “a playful and free-spirited experience”, and features whimsical interiors, evoking the enchanting charm of a forest, blended with Treehouse’s signature ‘perfectly imperfect’ design ethos.

Alongside its cosy accommodations, Treehouse Hotel Manchester will offer three unique destination dining and drinking options, with the first restaurant to arrive being Pip, situated on the ground floor. Pip is now open and will be headed up by one of the city’s most celebrated chefs, Mary-Ellen McTague, offering a menu that champions low-waste cooking and seasonal ingredients.

With over 20 years of experience in hospitality and as a restaurateur, Mary-Ellen McTague has worked alongside Heston Blumenthal at his esteemed Michelin-starred restaurants, The Fat Duck and The Hinds Head, and also founded the non-profit Eat Well MCR during the Covid-19 pandemic. Now, the Manchester-born and raised Chef, who runs local restaurants Aumbry and The Creameries, is set to bring her innovative ethos of low-waste cooking to Manchester’s restaurant scene.

Treehouse Hotel Manchester will also welcome Sister Moon by Sam Grainger, a Southeast Asian dining destination on the 14th floor later in 2025, alongside The Nest in Treehouse, which offers sweeping city views and a lively atmosphere. Meanwhile, hidden atop the hotel, guests will find The Hideout – an intimate rooftop lounge and terrace designed for relaxed yet sophisticated get-togethers.

The new hotel also includes on-site facilities such as a 43-seat ‘Flix’ screening room, a state-of-the-art ‘Playground’ gym, and versatile meeting rooms named Willow, Cedar, and Chestnut. In addition, Treehouse Hotel Manchester will play host to curated cultural events including a series of events celebrating the best of music, arts, and culture lead by Manchester icons Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford. Treehouse Hotel Manchester is celebrating its opening with a series of activations ranging from art workshops to fitness sessions and cosy film nights.
