Sweet-toothed shoppers are in for a treat this Easter as the Trafford Centre welcomes a cracking new little cafe.
We’ve no shortage of egg-cellent options when it comes Easter egg shopping in Manchester, whether you’re after something simple or planning going all out with a themed egg. And this year Intu Trafford Centre will be offering up something extra fancy in the world’s first pop-up easter egg cafe.
The cafe, which is nestled inside a giant Easter egg complete with mini Easter egg chairs, will be serving a selection of chocolatey treats from dessert shop Haute Dolci and Hey Little Cupcake in Selfridges.
Chocolate lovers will be able to watch all their Easter egg dreams come true as ‘eggsperts’ whip up a range of treats such as brownies, cheesecake, edible gold flecks and ice-cream – all served in an indulgent Easter egg.
The eggs will be priced at £7 and chocolate lovers will be able to choose from a selection of indulgent fillings:
- Ferrero – Deconstructed cheesecake topped with Nutella® sauce, roasted hazelnuts and crumbled Ferrero Roche. Injected with a Nutella® syringe
- Lotus – Deconstructed cheesecake topped with biscoff sauce and lotus biscoff crumbs, finished with a lotus biscuit. Injected with a Biscoff syringe
- Strawberry – Deconstructed cheesecake fresh strawberry coulee topped with sun-ripened strawberry, served with a strawberry coulee pipette
- Raspberry and white chocolate – Deconstructed cheesecake with scarlet raspberries, raspberry coulee. Finished with white chocolate curls. Served with a raspberry coulee pipette
Alison Niven, regional centre director at intu Trafford Centre, said:
“Every year our centre is filled with shoppers excited for Easter and buying tasty treats for their loved ones from Hotel Chocolat, Selfridges, John Lewis, Thorntons and more – so we simply wanted to celebrate and enhance the nation’s love for the holiday. The launch of the café is just another way we strive to put exciting experiences at the heart of a trip to intu Trafford Centre. We hope shoppers have a fantastic time tucking into the delicious eggs!”
The giant gold egg will be open until Saturday (April 20) in the centre’s Main Dome so Easter egg lovers head over to the Trafford Centre, quick like a bunny.
Shoppers who share an image of their visit to the café with the hashtag #Eastereggcafe will be in with a chance of winning a £100 intu Gift Card.
