On February 21, Manchester’s ABBA® fans and flare-wearing runners flocked to Heaton Park for the Abbathon. Some took on the 5K, others the 10K, while plenty were there to cheer from the sidelines. But whether you were running, spectating, or simply soaking up the vibes and singing your favourite ABBA® hits, there was one stop everyone could make: the Boots Pharmacist pop-up, offering free healthcare advice on the day.
As well as healthcare advice from an expert, visitors of the pop-up could also get FREE Health MOT* if they were over the age of 40. With the MOT only taking 15 minutes, it was great to see so many people dropping in and taking the opportunity to learn more about their health.
1 in 4 people have undiagnosed high blood pressure, and it usually doesn’t have any symptoms, so it’s well worth getting to know your numbers and booking a free check at your nearest Boots Pharmacist today. If you’re on the fence about whether you should have a Health MOT, or have other healthcare questions on your mind, Boots pharmacists are also on hand to offer free advice, just pop your head into your local store.
With Boots Pharmacies in over 1,000 Boots stores across the UK (most of them with weekend and evening opening hours) you’re never too far away from a Boots Pharmacist. What’s more, there’s no need for an appointment, meaning you can access expert healthcare advice and treatment for minor conditions when you most need it, and sometimes, where you least expect it!
*Free health MOT available in participating stores, England only. Includes the NHS Blood Pressure Check Service, as well as an optional waist circumference and BMI check. Eligibility criteria apply. Subject to availability.
