Manchester will always be beautiful in our eyes, but being a bustling city can be dirty work. It’s safe to say that there are buildings all over Manchester that could do with a little TLC! This July we’ve partnered with LISTERINE® to jet wash* three much-loved, local landmarks across the UK. Bermondsey Town Hall in London and the Mitchell Library in Glasgow have already had their makeovers, but next in line is Manchester’s oldest surviving theatre building, Theatre Royal. It will be restored to all its former glory over the summer, with a jet wash clean that will be the most satisfying thing you’ve ever seen…
*Note: we are not cleaning the building with Listerine! Our cleaning team use the DOFF system, approved by Stonehealth to treat listed buildings.
Being five times more effective than floss at reducing plaque**, everyone knows LISTERINE® as a mouthwash for tip top dental hygiene, but this summer they’re helping us make more than just our teeth sparkle. Last week, we asked you all to tell us which dirty Manchester buildings we should nominate to go under the LISTERINE® sponsored jet wash. And we’re pleased to announce that on July 28, Theatre Royal will start becoming squeaky clean.
If you’re tuned into Secret London or Secret Glasgow, you may have already seen the results of our first two LISTERINE® sponsored cleans. And if you enjoyed watching that oh-so-satisfying cleaning content virtually, then you’re not going to want to miss the chance to see this dirt-blasting makeover happen IRL.

What exactly does the big clean involve? A team of professionals abseiling down the building, steaming every inch of grime away until it looks brand spanking new, before adorning it with a special Listerine heritage plaque when the job is done.
**Germ kill provides sustained plaque reduction above the gumline after a dental cleaning. Use alongside brushing and flossing.
