Manchester has gained quite the flavour for vegan food in recent years. Spoiled with a variety of cuisines, the city has seen major success stories in the likes of Purezza, Vegan Shack, V Rev and What The Pitta – and now, it’s set to gain a brand new plant-based resident in The Vurger Co.
Marking their fourth venue and their first-ever venture up North, London’s The Vurger Co has secured a spot in the Northern Quarter – joining an eclectic mix of bars and restaurants who have found huge fanbases in the quirky corner of the city.
Founded back in 2018 when they opened their first venue in Shoreditch, the vegan burger joint has become well-known for its fun plant-based creations – which includes vegan pork crackling, a buffalo ‘chicken’ burger, crispy dippers and even vegan mac and cheese.
Their tasty list of burgers – which are made from Beyond Meat patties, chickpeas, black beans, or vegan chicken – is joined by lip-smacking vegan milkshakes, limited edition specials (which includes their pork crackling) as well as dippers and salad bowls.
Rachel Hugh, co-founder of The Vurger Co. said: “This is a really exciting time for us at TheVurger Co. We’ve worked hard to establish ourselves in London & Brighton and can’t wait to be part of the thriving restaurant & food scene in Manchester, one of our favourite cities. Customers can expect amazing plant-based food, packed with texture & flavour that’s fun & delicious.”
Opening at the new Transmission House on Tib Street, The Vurger Co will open on April 30th, joining On The Hush, Dive Bar and Crazy Pedro’s in the thriving heart of the Northern Quarter. In the meantime, check out the incredible menu here.
